Home Search
The home search begins with familiarizing yourself with the current real estate market and getting a clearer sense of what your wants and needs are. The best way to do this is to look at a lot of houses. Not just the hot new on-market listings, but everything... the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. This is what we will do on our first tour of homes.
As we inspect properties, I will point out the deficiencies and attributes that I observe. I have been on many, many structural inspections and have learned what to look for from these professionals. Depending on your search parameters, our good bad and ugly tour can usually be completed on our first outing in about 3 to 4 hours. After this tour we will both have a clearer sense of what excites you and what turns you off. You will also be learning to spot a good buy when you see one.
I strongly encourage you to go to open houses on your own and to scout out the paper and internet sites for properties that interest you. I will be doing this as well, but four or six eyes are more effective than two.
After our initial tour and once you are approved for a loan, I will be searching the Northwest Multiple Listing computer database for properties that fit your description. If you have other resources you would like me to check, please let me know. When I find a property that meets your criteria I will try to inspect it first before calling you. If my schedule does not allow this, I will call you with that address. Either way, you will be notified as soon as possible.
